NPO Registration
NPO / NGO Registration in Pakistan
Legal guidance on choosing an appropriate nonprofit structure, preparing the required documents and completing the relevant registration process.
Choosing the right legal structure
Pakistan has more than one legal route for establishing a nonprofit organisation. Depending on the organisation’s purpose, governance model and intended activities, the appropriate structure may include a society, trust, voluntary social welfare agency or a not-for-profit company under Section 42 of the Companies Act, 2017.
The registration route should be selected before constitutional documents are finalised, particularly where the organisation expects institutional donors, foreign funding or a formal governing board.
