Who falls within the policy
The Economic Affairs Division’s 2022 policy applies to Pakistani NGOs and NPOs receiving foreign contributions, subject to the policy’s scope and exclusions.
Underlying registration
EAD’s current FAQ states that provincial or SECP registration is required for registration with EAD. The foreign-funding process therefore sits alongside the organisation’s underlying legal registration.
MoU requirement
EAD’s FAQ states that an organisation receiving foreign funding requires an MoU with EAD, including where funding is received through an INGO in Pakistan.
Processing time
The EAD FAQ currently states a maximum processing time of 60 days under the 2022 policy.
