International NGOs seeking to operate in Pakistan are subject to a registration framework administered by the Ministry of Interior.
The application is document-intensive
The Ministry of Interior checklist covers organisational status, financial records, tax documentation, donor information, local-office arrangements, powers of attorney, staff details and the proposed Pakistan programme.
Plan the Pakistan operation before filing
The overseas organisation’s legal documents, proposed local programme, funding arrangements and Pakistan representation should be reviewed together before the application is submitted.
Keep renewal and compliance in view
Registration is not the end of the process. Records, tax filings, local-office information and other continuing requirements can affect renewal and the organisation’s ongoing position.
