An overview of the current ICT procedure for society and voluntary social welfare registration.
Society registration
ICT Administration currently states that a proposed society should have at least 20 members including at least seven office bearers. The published checklist requires two copies of the memorandum and articles, first-meeting minutes, identity documents and member or office-bearer information.
Voluntary social welfare registration
The voluntary social welfare route uses Form B and the NGO constitution, together with office-bearer, member and office-address records.
Office and annual reporting
The current ICT page states that the NGO office should be in a commercial area and lists annual progress or audit reports, project details, bank accounts and office-bearer information among continuing reporting items.
Processing time
ICT Administration currently states an indicative processing time of one month. This is an administrative indication, not a guarantee for a particular application.
