A Section 42 licence and incorporation do not end a not-for-profit company’s continuing company-law responsibilities.
Maintain the corporate record
Board decisions, governance changes, registered-office matters and constitutional amendments should be recorded and filed where required under the Companies Act, 2017 and applicable regulations.
Use current SECP guidance
SECP’s Section 42 guidebook was updated in May 2026. Section 42 companies should work from current regulations, forms and guidance rather than historic checklists.
Tax and funding are separate
Section 42 incorporation does not itself settle an organisation’s tax treatment or foreign-funding compliance. Those matters may involve FBR and EAD requirements.
